Treatment that fits around your life
Intensive outpatient program (IOP)
Our IOP gives you real clinical treatment while you live at home or in sober housing. Sessions run three hours a day, so you can keep working, studying, or caring for your family while you build your recovery.

Inside our IOP
IOP is for people who are medically stable and have a safe place to live, but still need more than a weekly therapy appointment. It’s also the most common next step after residential treatment.
Each week combines group therapy, an individual session with your therapist, and access to our psychiatric team. What you work on in group, you practice at home that same night.
What’s included
- Group therapy 3 to 5 days a week
- Weekly individual therapy
- Psychiatric care and medication management
- Relapse prevention planning
- Random drug and alcohol testing
- Family sessions when helpful

- Lower cost than residential treatment

Recovery story
Recovering without stepping away from work
Alex ran a small contracting business and couldn’t leave it for a month. He’d been drinking every night for years and his wife had given him an ultimatum.
He joined our evening track three nights a week. His group became the place he was most honest, and his wife joined him for family sessions in the second month.
Evening IOP let me keep my crew working and still show up for myself. The guys in my group still text me every week.

Outpatient care that still feels personal
Groups are kept small and are grouped by stage of recovery, so you are not sitting next to someone on their first day when you’re on your fiftieth. Your individual therapist and your group facilitators share notes, so nothing important gets lost.
Clients who need a place to live while attending IOP can be connected with vetted sober living homes in Orange County. Many find that combination is what makes the habits stick.
Questions about intensive outpatient (IOP)
Don’t see your question? Admissions can answer it in a quick, confidential call.
(714) 497-3120Who is IOP right for?
IOP fits people who are medically stable, don’t need 24-hour supervision, and have a safe, substance-free place to live. If you’re unsure, our admissions team can do a free assessment over the phone.
Can I work while attending IOP?
Yes. That’s one of the main reasons people choose IOP. Our evening track was built for people who work during the day.
How long does IOP last?
Most clients attend for 8 to 12 weeks. As you progress, the number of days per week usually decreases before you transition into aftercare.
Do I need to go to detox first?
If you are physically dependent on alcohol, opioids, or benzodiazepines, detox is usually needed before outpatient care. We’ll assess this on your first call.
Does insurance cover IOP?
Most PPO plans include coverage for intensive outpatient treatment. We’ll verify your benefits for free and tell you what to expect before you start.
Insurance can cover most of the cost of rehab
We work with most major PPO and POS plans, including employer and marketplace coverage. Verification is free, confidential, and usually takes less than an hour.

Recovery looks different for everyone. These are a few of the people who trusted us with theirs.
Evening IOP let me keep my business running while I got sober. The group became the most honest part of my week.
We came in together and left together, sober. The couples sessions saved our marriage as much as our health.
Admissions handled my insurance, picked me up from the airport, and had a bed ready that night. All I had to do was call.
