Alcohol addiction treatment
Alcohol rehab in Orange County
Alcohol is legal, everywhere, and easy to hide, which is why so many people wait years before asking for help. Our alcohol rehab program starts with safe, medical withdrawal and continues with the therapy and support that make sobriety last.

Inside alcohol rehab
Stopping drinking suddenly after heavy, daily use can cause seizures and other serious complications. That’s why our program begins with a medical assessment and, for most clients, supervised detox.
Once you’re stable, treatment turns to the reasons you drink and the skills to handle them differently: stress, sleep, relationships, grief, and the social pressure to have “just one.”

Recovery story
Twenty years of drinking, one honest phone call
Linda was a nurse who drank a bottle of wine most nights. She was good at hiding it until a DUI forced the conversation.
She detoxed with us, completed residential treatment, and now attends alumni meetings every Tuesday. She’s back at work and leads a support group at her church.
I was ashamed to call. The person who answered was in recovery herself, and that changed everything.
The path through alcohol rehab
Medical detox
Five to seven days of supervised withdrawal with medication to prevent complications and ease symptoms.
Residential treatment
Daily therapy and structure while you rebuild routines without alcohol.
Intensive outpatient
Continue treatment while returning to work and home life.
Aftercare
Alumni meetings, check-ins, and a community that keeps you connected.
Treating alcohol use disorder as a health condition
Alcohol use disorder is a medical condition, not a failure of willpower. FDA-approved medications such as naltrexone and acamprosate can reduce cravings and help prevent relapse, and our medical team will talk with you about whether they make sense for you.
Therapy focuses on practical change: what to say at a work happy hour, how to sleep without a drink, how to repair trust at home. You leave with a written relapse prevention plan you helped build.
Questions about alcohol rehab
Don’t see your question? Admissions can answer it in a quick, confidential call.
(714) 497-3120Is alcohol withdrawal dangerous?
It can be. After heavy, long-term drinking, stopping suddenly can lead to seizures or delirium tremens. Medical detox greatly reduces these risks. Please don’t stop drinking abruptly on your own if you drink heavily every day.
How long does alcohol detox take?
Most people complete alcohol detox in 5 to 7 days. Symptoms usually peak within the first 24 to 72 hours.
Do you use medication for alcohol addiction?
Yes, when it’s appropriate. Medications such as naltrexone and acamprosate can reduce cravings. Your medical provider will discuss the options with you.
Can I do alcohol rehab as an outpatient?
Sometimes. If your withdrawal risk is low and you have a stable home, our IOP may be a good fit. Our admissions team can help you figure out the safest starting point.

Recovery looks different for everyone. These are a few of the people who trusted us with theirs.
Evening IOP let me keep my business running while I got sober. The group became the most honest part of my week.
We came in together and left together, sober. The couples sessions saved our marriage as much as our health.
Admissions handled my insurance, picked me up from the airport, and had a bed ready that night. All I had to do was call.
