Help for the people who love them
Family program
Addiction affects everyone close to it. Our family program gives parents, spouses, and adult children a place to learn, heal, and become part of their loved one’s recovery, without losing sight of their own wellbeing.

Inside the family program
Every week, family members meet for an education and support group led by a licensed family therapist. Topics include how addiction affects the brain, healthy boundaries, enabling, and what to expect when a loved one comes home.
With your loved one’s consent, you’ll also take part in family therapy sessions with their therapist. These conversations are guided, structured, and focused on moving forward.

Recovery story
A father learning to stop rescuing
Robert had paid his son’s rent, lawyers, and debts for five years. Every rescue felt like love, and every one bought a little more time for the addiction.
In family group he met other parents who had done the same thing. With their support and his son’s therapist, he learned to say no to money and yes to treatment.
I thought the program was for my son. It turned out I needed it just as much.
How families take part
Join the weekly group
Attend in person on campus or online. You don’t need to wait for your loved one to be ready.
Family sessions
With consent, meet with your loved one and their therapist to work through specific issues.
Family weekend
A day of education and guided activities in the later stage of residential treatment.
Planning for home
Agree on expectations, boundaries, and support together before discharge.
When your loved one won’t accept help
Many families call us before their loved one is ready. You don’t have to wait. Our family therapists use CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training), an evidence-based approach that teaches families how to encourage treatment without confrontation.
When a more structured step is needed, we can connect you with a professional interventionist who will help you plan, rehearse, and carry out a respectful intervention with a treatment bed ready.

Can I attend online?
Yes. Our weekly group is offered both on campus and by secure video, so family members anywhere can take part.
My loved one refuses treatment. What can I do?

Recovery looks different for everyone. These are a few of the people who trusted us with theirs.
Evening IOP let me keep my business running while I got sober. The group became the most honest part of my week.
We came in together and left together, sober. The couples sessions saved our marriage as much as our health.
Admissions handled my insurance, picked me up from the airport, and had a bed ready that night. All I had to do was call.
